A lot of the criticism seems to come from residents who choose one of the most expensive places in the city and find it doesn't match their luxury expectations. My own experience has been good: my room is big and I have no outstanding complaints. The internet goes out once in a blue moon, though that happens at The Standard and Lark too. The pool isn't maintained as well as it used to be, and the leg press in the gym has been loose for a long time, but the gym is fine for most things. The Flats is the closest building to the train tracks, so you do live next to a train, but you get used to it after a couple of nights.
Maintenance is usually quick enough, and nothing is unresolved apart from the pool upkeep and the loose leg press.
